Health and Safety Advisor

  • Who is managing construction health and safety on-site?

  • Are you reporting and recording your inspections and safety audits?

  • Do you run and record regular toolbox talks appropriate to the site?

The CDM regulations (CDM 15) have no specific duty for a health and safety advisor.  However, this role is often critical in identifying potential hazardous operations and working on-site, supporting the site workforce with concerns, being proactive in ensuring health and safety compliance, and helping site management teams to drive safety standards upwards throughout the build.

How Better Safety can help

We have extensive experience of on-site operations from a variety of projects. It is our duty to provide your developments with health and safety management systems that ensure you understand health and safety policies and procedures. We can support simple extension projects. We can also support projects with DSEAR elements and anything in between.

We can:

  • Provide advice and guidance for site managers and supervisors.

  • Provide resources on-site to deliver effective and time-sensitive toolbox talks.

  • Improve the image of your site.

  • Help you to gain accreditations such as CHAS, Achilles, SMAS.

  • Complete health and safety audits and inspections on your site at regular intervals.

  • Provide ongoing health and safety advice and support.
